Circa 1960s | Glass, brass metal
Founded in 1954 by Carel O. Lockhorn, Raak is recognized as one of the most important Dutch lighting manufacturers of the 20th century. Raak prided itself on Lichtarchitectuur (illuminated architecture) which emphasized the brand's commitment to producing designs that integrate harmoniously with sophisticated, high concept interiors. These are a very rare, sophisticated composition of five glass cascading pendants that manipulate light and create beautiful diffractions. Simple, yet elegant, the thick glass, glistening brass and the intricate detailed holes that diffuse light make this a one of a kind RAAK design.
